Anchor Food Professionals Ultimate Aussie Burger Challenge 2025

  1. Information on how to enter, and the terms applying to the rewards and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The promoter is Fonterra Brands (Australia) Pty Ltd (ABN 80 095 181 669) (“Promoter”) of Level 2, 40 River Boulevard, Richmond VIC 3121, telephone 1300 738 484.
  3. Entry is only open to foodservice businesses operating in Australia (each an “Eligible Business”). A ‘foodservice business’ is a business that serves food outside of a consumer’s home and includes full-service restaurants and cafes, pubs or clubs, independent pizza restaurants, and independent Quick Service Restaurants. Global chain Quick Service Restaurant outlets are not considered Eligible Businesses for the purposes of this competition. Authorised representatives for an Eligible Business must be 18 years or over and a resident of Australia.
  4. Employees (and persons sharing the same household) of the Promoter (including any affiliates and subsidiaries) and agencies associated with this competition are not eligible to enter on behalf of an Eligible Business.
  5. The competition starts at 12:01 am AEST on 1 February 2025 and ends at 11:59pm AEST on 23 March 2025 (“Promotional Period“).
  6. Each Eligible Business authorises the Promoter’s representative to enter on its behalf the entry steps required for this competition. To the fullest extent permitted by law, each Eligible Business agrees to hold the Promoter and the Promoter’s representatives harmless for any error or omission (other than fraud or recklessness) in completing the entry steps on the Eligible Business’s behalf.
  7. To enter this competition, an authorised representative from an Eligible Business must submit a burger recipe and image in accordance with the instructions set out in section 7 below. The recipe must (a) aim to capture the essence of Australia through the ingredients used in the recipe and (b) use at least two slices of cheese from the Eligible Products listed below during the Promotional Period. The cheese slices used may be two slices from the same Eligible Product, or one slice from two different Eligible Products.Eligible Products are:

  8. Participants must submit their competition entries through one of the following methods:
    1. Uploading a photo of the burger to their own or Eligible Business’s social media accounts on Facebook and / or Instagram using the hashtag #AFPUltimateBurger and by tagging @anchorfp.au. The caption must include a description up to four sentences long of what makes their entry an “Aussie Burger”. The description must mention the cheese(s) from the Eligible Product list they used; OR
    2. Visiting www.ultimateaussieburger.com and uploading a photo of the burger or a written recipe. You must include up to four sentences long describing what makes the submission an “Aussie Burger”. The description must mention the cheese(s) from the Eligible Product list they have used.
  9. Multiple entries from Eligible Businesses are permitted.
  10. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and Eligible Businesses (including an Eligible Business’s authorised representative’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any person who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition or has engaged in conduct that would negatively impact on the reputation of, or bring the Promoter, its brands, business or the competition into disrepute or otherwise. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s rights to recover damages or other compensation from a person or Eligible Business who breaches these Terms and Conditions are reserved.
Grouping of entries
  1. For the purposes of judging, each Eligible Business who enters the competition will be divided into one of the five (5) groups based on their location: NSW/ACT, VIC/TAS, QLD, WA and SA/NT (each a “State Group“).
The Winners
  1. This is a game of skill. Chance does not play any part in determining the winners. Each entry will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter according to a criteria that will include, amongst other things, originality, use of two slices of cheese from the eligible product range, relevance to the aim of the competition and the participant’s ability to articulate how the recipe captures the essence of Australia in their view. The judging process will commence on 24 March 2025 and will conclude by 11.59pm AEST on 28 March 2025. Judging will be conducted at Level 2, 40 River Boulevard, Richmond VIC 3121.
  2. Five (5) winners will be chosen by the judging panel: 1 Prize winner from each of the five (5) State Groups.
  3. The winning Eligible Businesses (“Winners”) will be notified by email within two (2) business days from the end of the judging process, and subject to acceptance of their Prize, Winners will be published at www.anchorfp.com.au and www.ultimateaussieburger.com. Winners must accept their Prize by 11.59pm AEST on 3 April 2025.
  4. The Promoter may draw on additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid or ineligible entry is chosen or a Winner forfeits their prize.
  5. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prizes
  1. Each Prize includes:
    1. a Prezzee® Smart eGift card valued at AU$2,000; and
    2. a Prezzee® Smart eGift card valued at AU$2,000; and (b) a 20% share of a PR package from Broadsheet valued by Broadsheet Media Pty Ltd at AU$58,000. The PR package includes an article feature on Broadsheet, a sponsored carousel on Broadsheet’s Instagram, a single frame sponsored post on Broadsheet’s Instagram, and a feature in the Broadsheet EDM.
    If the Winners include the winning burger on their menu permanently or until 11.59 pm AEST on 31 May 2025, the following further prizes will be awarded to the Winner:
    1. Media services for use between 1 June 2025 and 31 July 2025. This prize is valued at AU$2,000. The Media services are provided for the purpose of promoting the Winner’s locally and must include reference to the winning burger. The nature of the Media service offered and the content used in the media service will need to be agreed between the Winner and the Promoter. Examples of Media services offered could include a hoarding, an advertisement in the local newspaper or digital media spend. Not transferrable or exchangeable for cash; and
    2. A selection of cheese from the Eligible Products list valued at AU$500. Not exchangeable for cash.
  2. Prizes will be awarded to the Eligible Business appearing on the winning entry.
  3. Any ancillary cost associated with redeeming a Prezzee® Smart eGift card is not included in the prize value. Any unused balance of a Prezzee® Smart eGift card will not be awarded as cash. Redemption of the Prezzee® Smart eGift card is subject to the standard terms and conditions, which can be found at https://www.prezzee.com.au/policies/terms-of-service/
  4. If for any reason a Winner does not accept their Prize (or any element of the Prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter in accordance with section 14 of these Terms and Conditions, then the Prize (or that element of the Prize) will be automatically forfeited and the judges reserve the right to select a new Winner.
  5. If applicable, judging for an unclaimed Prize will take place at 09:00 am AEST on 7 April 2025, at the same location(s) as the original judging. The replacement Winner(s) will be informed inwriting on that same day. The replacement Winner must accept the Prize by 11:59 pm AEST on 9 April 2025 and subject to a replacement Winner’s acceptance of the Prize, the name of the new Winner will be published at www.anchorfp.com.au and www.ultimateaussieburger.com.
  6. If any Prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
  7. Individual Prizes are valued at AU$16,100 (inclusive of the $2000 media investment and $500 worth of cheese from the Eligible Products list) and the total prize pool value is AU$80,500 (inclusive of the $2000 media investment and $500 worth of cheese from the Eligible Products list).
  8. If a winner chooses not to keep the winning burger on the menu as outlined in Clause 17, the winner acknowledges that they have forfeited the prizes outlined in Clause 17 (c) and 17 (d), resulting in the individual prize being valued at AU$13,600 and the total prize pool being valued at AU$68,000.
  9. Prizes or any unused and or unclaimed portion and / or unclaimed portion of a Prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
  10. The authorised representative of an Eligible Business consents to the Promoter using their and / or the Eligible Business’ name, likeness, image and / or (if applicable) voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
  11. As a condition of entering this competition, each entrant licenses the Promoter to use their entry (including recipes and photos), at no charge in any media for an unlimited period for any reason, including but not limited to future competition, marketing, or publicity purposes. Each entrant warrants to the Promoter that their entry is the original work of the entrant only and does not infringe the rights of any third party or is otherwise unlawful or fraudulent. The Promoter shall not be liable for any content submitted by an entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Promoter reserves the right to remove or decline to publish any content submitted by an entrant on its digital platforms without notice for any reason. The entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter against all costs and claims by third parties arising from a breach of this warranty. Entrants consent to any use of their entry that may otherwise infringe their moral rights pursuant to the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
  12. If this competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition, as appropriate.
  13. Winners should obtain their own independent financial advice in relation to any tax liability that may arise because of their participation in the competition.
  14. This competition is in not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or affiliated with Instagram and or Facebook. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Instagram and or Facebook. The information an Entrant provides will only be used for the purposes outlined in these Terms and Conditions. Any queries or feedback about this competition should be directed to the Promoter. By participating in the competition entrants agree that each Instagram and Facebook are not responsible for any loss, damage, or personal injury suffered by an entrant due to participating in the promotion, except for liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.
  15. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any applicable rights under similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees“). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether 4 direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of, or connected to the competition, a Prize or Reward.The Promoter collects personal information regarding each Eligible Business and authorised representative (“PI“) in order to conduct the competition and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://www.anchorfp.com.au. In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the Eligible Business. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how an Eligible Business may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how an Eligible Business may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter will not disclose PI to any entity outside of Australia.
